Dmitry,

Unfortunately, the tracing algorithm isn't currently scalable. The width of
the outline is always the same number of pixels wide prior to antialiasing.

The two things you can do to get a somewhat thicker line on larger (hi-res)
images is to disable antialiasing and crank up the gain

set antialias, 0
set ray_trace_gain, 2.5
ray 6000

Cheers,
Warren

Subject: [PyMOL] Problems with ray and high resolution

Hello,
I am trying to render an image with ray_trace_mode=1(cartoon textures).
When I set ray 1024, 768 I get what I want but when I run ray 6000, 4500 I
get the picture as if ray_trace_mode=0 (realistic view) had been set.

Do you know any solutions?
Thanks! I appreciate your help!
