OK. I'm using 3.7, self compiled on a SuSE box. I don't have that. Even if I did, I probably wouldn't be able to make sense of the output - I'm new to most of this stuff. I've boiled the problem down to a small bit of code. The line which causes the segv is a "self.setCloseMode( True )" in a class derived from QDockWindow. If I put the code in a tar archive on a server somewhere, would someone who knows what they are doing like to test it on a more up to date PyQt setup, and possibly investigate the problem?
