Procuding code leads of course to Illegal instruction - but producing, too. Just checked with gcc/g++ 3.2 - same result
Doesn't seg fault for me (gcc 3.2.3).

sorry to have bothered you, it was just a blind alert - I just needed to rebuild PyQt, but was to lazy to do that yesterday evening. Now everything works fine.
