first of all, sorry if you have this mail on the list already, it seems
i have posted once from the wrong adress...
i have just compiled & installed sip3.8, pyqt3.8 and pykde3.8 on a
kde3.1.4/qt3.2.3 system. it went through successfully, however i get the
following error by importing kio:

ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/libkiocmodule.so:
undefined symbol: sipName_run
other imports seem to work (after doing the kacceleratormanager
trick...)
yesterday i gave a try to pykde 3.7 with the appropriate sip/pyqt
versions, and it was the same...
have anyone a clue what the problem is?
