I remember just one problem to compile PyQt with Visual Studio .NET 2003
and python 2.4.2
I just needed to add a line in the Qt file qmake.conf:
QMAKE_CFLAGS_THREAD =
that was all.
I hope that helps ...

PS. I am using Qt 4.1.0 non commercial with the sourceforge patch to
compile with VS .NET 2003.
