Did you try to compile the snapshot for Mac OSX or X11?

I had the same problem with the windows snapshot.
The problem seems to be that there is a check in qx11embed_x11.sip that is
not made in qapplication.sip That leds to errors when you are not under x11.
I had reported that previously ([PyKDE] Qt v4.2 Support) together with
another problem.
