FWIW, I can't reproduce this behavior using Riverbank's binary installer for PyQt4.5 (bundles Qt4.5.1) on Windows Vista Home Premium. I type a 'g' in the QLineEdit and it shows up regardless of whether or not I call setStyleSheet().
