Hackish, it is a little in spots. As far as the radio items not working for you, I'm using python 3.2, and the latest stable PyQt4 downloaded from the site this morning (4.8.3-1), on windows xp. IIRC, you mentioned this not working earlier as well, yet several people I sent the code to didn't have any issues.
As for clarity and notes, I'll clean it up a bit, where I can. As this is derived from a project I'm working on, I can remove some non-demo related stuff (which I should have done anyway!), remove other unneeded functionality, and add some other notes as well.
