Hello, I tried using Qt 4.8.0 on Mac as well. Trying to start Qt Designer resulted in a crash (Seg Fault). According to the Qt bug tracker their is an issue related to dbus not being present on Mac. I guess, that one has to install dubs (don't know yet how) or continue to use Qt 4.7.4. The last solution did the trick for me and made eric4/5 work again.
