As the PSEP editor, my first peeve with this proposal is about changing a PSEP that's already been accepted. Granted, we've done that before, but this time this is a new feature which could as well be presented in a separate PSEP.

I don't have a strong opinion about the proposal itself (both arguments for and against have their merits) but reformulating the mail into a PSEP draft wouldn't have been a biggie and I could've done that myself just to keep the thing going. However, since there obviously is no concensus about the proposal, I doubt whether this would end up being accepted in the end.
