Hi Renato,

Thank you for your response, but I did not try your suggestion,
as I allready had Matti Airas off list response with the following
suggestion:
***************
From: Matti Airas <[email protected]>

I'm just guessing here:

try running "sudo ldconfig" and see if that makes a difference. The
dynamic linker cache won't get automatically updated after manual
installation and this might cause problems if the so-file versions are
bumped (which might have just happened).

So from CLI I issued the command
sudo ldconfig
and automagically the PySide became accessible! Another old newbie
problem SOLVED :)

I hope Matti will not be offended by me putting his advice in the list,
but it did work and it may help others.

I really do appreciate all the friendly advice that has been offered to
me - what a treasure this mailing list is!

Al.
