My volunteer work on PySide port to Symbian is not dependent of the Symbian project itself. I continue working on it (currently on a N8), but the progress is slow due to lack of free time lately. If you or anyone is interested on helping and has experience with C++ and Qt development for Symbian, I'll be glad to upload my current work. Unfortunately, the current status is not usable even for alpha testing. A few notes about the status: * Initially, I'm not porting PySide itself, but the PySide generator "samplebinding" test module. It is smaller and faster to debug and test on the device. * My current "samplebinding" port builds fine, but importing it crashes due to issues with RTTI support on GCCE. This is the most important issue which needs more investigation before attempting to build the full PySide.
