We'll be having a PySide development sprint at the SciPy conference, which will be in Austin, TX. The sprint will be on Friday and Saturday, June 28 & 29 with a planning / kickoff meeting the night before on June 27. The website for the conference is at http://conference.scipy.org/scipy2013/ If you can't make it to Austin, we will be active on the #pyside IRC channel during the sprint.
One of the main goals of the sprint is to help developers get familiar with the C++ parts of the implementation so they can submit patches and otherwise help out with PySide. The more developers who are able to get over the initial learning curve of the project and have the skills and the desire to help out, the easier it will be to keep the project moving forward in the future. Python developers who use PySide in their applications will also be welcome, but focus of the sprint will be on fixing bugs and improving the C++ implementation.
