It is already under review as a pull request. My path is a bit rigorous because it completely removes a nice workaround that I in the end found obsolete, because qmake provides a variable that is just not exposed by qtinfo.py for use by setup.py . I checked that it works with homebrew, but I did not test with another way to install QT.
