From http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/qmessagebox.html : "The display order for the buttons is platform-dependent. For example, on Windows, Save is displayed to the left of Cancel, whereas on Mac OS, the order is reversed." I guess it depends on the style guidelines released by the respective platforms.
