I'll second this.  I really enjoy being able to follow the progress of a 
project.  Watching code grow and morph can provide for some great learning 
opportunities.  And while bike shedding can be a problem, I don't think it's 
worth shutting out everyone.

As for the survey, my name is Matthew Marshall and I'm a nut.

Ok, so maybe that's a little harsh.  But probably not.

Anyway, I would be interested in seeing the networking code, and maybe helping 
with it.  (Depending on if it could benefit from my help or not.)
