Hi Stefan, Looking at the trace and your description it seems that the error could be at the core of the HDF5 library, but can't be entirely sure until we can reproduce the problem. It should be nice if you can try HDF5 1.6.5 or even 1.8.0 alpha4 (recently announced a couple of days ago).
If using a newer HDF5 doesn't solve the problem, is there any chance that you can provide your code (no matter how large it is) so that we can reproduce the issue locally? I'm curious on what's going on there.
