Hi, Just a quick note to say that I've just successfully introduced the new PyTables 2.3 to the students participating in the "Advanced Scientific Programing School" that we are currently having at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. You can find the slides here:
https://python.g-node.org/wiki/serialization Also, I have also conducted a 15-minutes long interactive demonstration using 2.3rc1, which went very smoothly. Thanks for making 2.3 happening before the school! You can find all the material for the lectures, exercises (and solutions) given at the school in: https://python.g-node.org/wiki/schedule For those you don't know about the school, it is a good opportunity for computational scientists to get immersed in advanced Python techniques in just one week. The lectures are complemented with exercises so that people can immediately put in practice lessons just learned. Then, with the programming project, students are teamed up to develop a funny computer game that will be confronted on a final tournament. BTW, if anyone is interested in his institution to sponsor the school anywhere in Europe, drop me a message. Cheers! -- Francesc Alted ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BlackBerry® DevCon Americas, Oct. 18-20, San Francisco, CA http://p.sf.net/sfu/rim-devcon-copy2 _______________________________________________ Pytables-users mailing list Pytables-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/pytables-users
