Sanctioning possibly multiple libraries (with non-clashing names) in a category shoud be less nasty than picking just one to include and distribute with the library. The criteria for sanction should be similar to that for inclusion -- such as maturity and commitment -- but without having to be 'the best'. As a user, I think I would want to be able to plug things in.
