The Python Imaging Library (PIL) adds image processing capabilities
to your Python interpreter. This library supports many file formats,
and provides powerful image processing and graphics capabilities,
including display support for Windows and Tkinter.
Version 1.1.5 adds a stream-lined build process, better support
for applications using multiple threads on systems with multiple
processors and/or hyperthreading processors, and tons of smaller
