This is to announce the release of the HDX Python Library 1.0 which is designed
to enable you to easily develop code that interacts with the Humanitarian Data
Exchange platform. The major goal of the library is to make pushing and pulling
data from HDX as simple as possible for the end user.

https://data.humdata.org/ is an open platform for sharing data. The goal of HDX
is to make humanitarian data easy to find and use for analysis. Launched in
July 2014, a large and growing collection of datasets has been accessed by
users in over 200 countries and territories.

The library can be downloaded from PyPI:
https://pypi.python.org/pypi/hdx-python-api/1.0

The source code is on GitHub: https://github.com/OCHA-DAP/hdx-python-api

We would welcome volunteers passionate about humanitarian work to help us not
only with this library but other projects.

If you have any questions or would like to know more, please email us:
h...@un.org.

Thanks,
