Antoine Pitrou <pit...@free.fr> added the comment: I wouldn't be surprised if the crash was related to some concurrency issues during shutdown. Other (Python or not Python) threads can continue running while the main thread is running Py_Finalize; this might be the reason; or perhaps some extension modules don't really support reloading.
