Barry A. Warsaw <ba...@python.org> added the comment: I should note that I'd love to backport this to Python 3.2, 3.1, 2.7 and 2.6 since none of them can build entirely now on multiarch systems. Since it only affects search order in the build process, one could argue that it's not a new feature :).
