Antoine Pitrou <[email protected]> added the comment: Actually, it came to me that if a child process exists, the queues are not guaranteed to be a consistent state anymore (the child could have terminated in the middle of a partial read or write). So it may be better to simply declare the ProcessPoolExecutor terminally broken when one of its children have exited.
