Jason R. Coombs <jar...@jaraco.com> added the comment: I should mention that there is third-party symlink support in jaraco.windows (http://pypi.python.org/pypi/jaraco.windows). Just easy_install it, and then use jaraco.windows.filesystem.symlink.
