@Larry: That seems unnecessarily general. I take full responsibility for fixing the precision at ns. And note that I *am* giving you a way out -- I'm establishing a clear pattern, and if someone really, desperately wants ps or fs, it's completely obvious how to change the API again. But I bet you a case of beer that won't happen in our lifetimes (or in Benjamin's).
