Martin v. Löwis <mar...@v.loewis.de> added the comment: Can you elaborate why it is unsuitable? None of the uuid functions claim any cryptographic properties, so even if MT was unsuitable for cryptographic purposes, this wouldn't rule it out for generating uuids.
