>From the docs it isn't quite clear if getfqnd() does the equivalent of:
gethostbyaddr('127.0.0.1')
or
gethostbyaddr(gethostbyname(gethostname()))
It matters which it is, when debugging a host's name configuration and DNS
server problems.
