Ned Deily added the comment: Please follow the instructions at http://www.python.org/getit/mac/tcltk/ and install an up-to-date third-party version of Tcl/Tk 8.5 such as ActiveTcl 8.5.15.0. This crash has been fixed in the newer versions of Cocoa Tk but still present in the Apple-supplied Tk 8.5 in OS X.
