Andy Maier added the comment: Uploaded v8 of the patch for 3.4 and default.
It reflects hopefully everything that was said in this issue thread, and on the python-dev mailing list (subject: == on object tests identity in 3.x), at least to the extent it was related to comparisons. Besides the doc changes it contained previously, it now also contains improvements for the test suite for comparisons (lib/test/test_compare.py). -> Please review both.
