Donald Stufft added the comment: If distlib 0.2.0 fixes this, then it should be fixed in pip 6+ when installing from Wheels. If the same problem exists in setuptools then it'll need to get fixed in setuptools (or pip will need to start writing it's own console scripts when installing from sdist too).
