Neil Girdhar added the comment: I was also thinking of unifying it all, but I couldn't find a way to ensure that the most common case (which I assume is f(x, y, z=0, w=0, *args, **kwargs)) produces no additional opcodes. If you have a nice unification, I look forward to it.
