Rereading the discussion, there seems to be agreement that this is an 
enhancement. It does not apply for Python 3.5 (which requires a compiler 
without the bug that causes this), and Python 3.4 is no longer eligible for 
enhancements. I'm closing this as out of date.

The patches will be here, so anyone who is rebuilding Python 3.4 or earlier for 
their own use with VS 2012 is welcome to apply the patch themselves.
