    dialect = csv.Sniffer().sniff(csvfile.read(1024))
    csvfile.seek(0)
    reader = csv.reader(csvfile, dialect)
    # ... process CSV file contents here ...

have to be:
    ...
    reader = csv.reader(csvfile, dialect=dialect)
     # ... process CSV file contents here ...
