STINNER Victor added the comment: About memory alignment, _Py_HASHTABLE_ENTRY_DATA_AS_VOID_P() macro uses pointer dereference. It may be replaced with _Py_HASHTABLE_ENTRY_READ_DATA() to use memcpy() and avoid memory alignment issue.
