Is it worth to ignore also non-ASCII whitespaces for compatibility with
string-to-number convertions and base64 decoder?

1.0
>>> base64.decodebytes(b'\xa0YWJj')
b'abc'
Note that not all spaces are ignored. They shouldn't break hexadecimal pairs.
>>> bytes.fromhex('a b')
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
ValueError: non-hexadecimal number found in fromhex() arg at position 1
