Maybe PyObject_Call(), _PyObject_FastCallDict(), etc. can also be modified to
get the following fast-path:
+ if (Py_TYPE(func) == &PyMethod_Type) {
+ result = _PyMethod_FastCall(func, args, nargs);
+ }
But I don't know how common it is to get a PyMethod_Type object in these
functions, nor the code of the additional if.
