PR 29396 and PR 29501 didn't get backported to 3.8 in November. Probably that was intentional since 3.8 only gets security fixes since 3.8.10, which was released in May. Supporting a newer build environment isn't a security issue. A core developer could make an exception for this case, so I'll leave this open for now. ---------- components: +Windows versions: -Python 3.10, Python 3.11, Python 3.9 _______________________________________ Python tracker <rep...@bugs.python.org> <https://bugs.python.org/issue46582> _______________________________________ _______________________________________________ Python-bugs-list mailing list Unsubscribe: https://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-bugs-list/archive%40mail-archive.com
