Ned Deily <n...@acm.org> added the comment: There have been similar problems reported in the past when subprocesses cause OS X CoreFoundation interfaces to be first called from the subprocess and not the main process. A quick workaround is to make a call from the main process. In this case, adding a call to urllib.getproxies() before calling Process appears to fix the problem for me.
