87% of us felt we could experiment with something new. 82% of us have voted for a Discord Server. I will write a proposal based on the feedback shared on this topic and will submit it to the steering council. On a related note, since the start of these discussions, multiple changes resulted in #python-dev on IRC (libera.chat) picking up on human interaction. That's a great development. IRC is forever!
