Python generally allows trailing commas so that it is easier to write sequence literals which are appended to later. There's also the fact that a trailing comma is used to make a 1-element tuple - so it could be said that the exception is actually that the comma after the last item can be optionally left out when there is more than one item in the sequence :) Cheers, Nick. -- Nick Coghlan | [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Brisbane, Australia --------------------------------------------------------------- http://boredomandlaziness.blogspot.com _______________________________________________ Python-Dev mailing list Python-Dev@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-dev Unsubscribe: http://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-dev/archive%40mail-archive.com
