Scintilla does a rough job with this. RTL text is displayed correctly as the underlying platform libraries (Windows or GTK+/Pango) handle this aspect when called to draw text. However editing is not performed correctly with the caret not being placed correctly within RTL text and other visual glitches. There is interest in the area and even a funding proposal this week.
