Would it be reasonable to require an minimum amount of versions to be specified (such as n versions ahead), but provide flexibility in terms to delaying the removal, as needed? IMO, it would be more convenient for users to have a "minimum removal" version in mind, rather than an unscheduled deprecation that could have a version+2 (deprecation and removal in 2 versions) assigned at any point in time.
We have a special deprecated-removed directive in docs for this. _______________________________________________ Python-Dev mailing list -- python-dev@python.org To unsubscribe send an email to python-dev-le...@python.org https://mail.python.org/mailman3/lists/python-dev.python.org/ Message archived at https://mail.python.org/archives/list/python-dev@python.org/message/PZT35WQJBPZUAFSX77H455UG6LSIEYK5/ Code of Conduct: http://python.org/psf/codeofconduct/
