Sorry for the slightly off-topic post, but I thought it of interest that Brendan Eich (the "father" of javascript) has blogged about the future of js, and specifically how he will "borrow from Python for iteration, generators, and comprehensions" and more generally why he is "standing on Pythons shoulders" when appropriate.
