Yep, same. Nothing much has changed, but if those of us who know that nothing has changed fail to reiterate those points, everyone new to the discussion will assume that everyone agrees with them.

Just deleted a long rant to the discussion in general (not directed at Paul at all ;) ) that would have achieved nothing, but I'll summarise to this: email doesn't fix bugs; maintainers fix bugs. Please let us know *publicly* if you want to become the maintainer for a stdlib module and then we can support them, but if nobody is willing/able/ready to care for them it's irresponsible for us to keep shipping them to users.
