As Ronald points out, installing is only one action, and then you have to handle all of its options too. Maybe that means python -M install --install-dir foo --other-setuptools-options would work, but I don't think just bare --install does. I'm also not sure "python -M install" is a big improvement over "egg" or whatever ("egg" actually isn't bad). - -Barry -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (Darwin) iQCVAwUBRW73knEjvBPtnXfVAQKXHAQAgpcTBkhkN12H/JNOT2NJFMd+jilYYCnQ DmcwEnKeBEM0VoLelXKRs7xAj+ULownvL3Lv4bBgpXw69lH5ZCMcWLme2lnkD3Ko B0KSUSRS3DjApy4VTSBHW0M78K2n1yJ0XfTp2ceWfk42O1C6Qi6nnFkh2VT617tI hXKYWAzJaFA= =QY+p -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Python-Dev mailing list Python-Dev@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-dev Unsubscribe: http://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-dev/archive%40mail-archive.com
