Here's where I'm coming from: My first experience with Twisted was excellent: I needed a web server in fifteen minutes to do my PyCon presentation, and it Just Worked. My second experience with Twisted? Well, I didn't really have one. My first experience was Twisted 1.1, and when I tried installing 2.0 on my Mac (about 1.5 years ago), it just didn't work. Combined with the difficulty of using the documentation and the fact that I was in a hurry, I rejected the Twisted solution. (My company needed an FTP server that did a callback every time a file got uploaded -- something that I expect would be very simple for Twisted.) -- Aahz ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) <*> http://www.pythoncraft.com/ "I disrespectfully agree." --SJM _______________________________________________ Python-Dev mailing list Python-Dev@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-dev Unsubscribe: http://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-dev/archive%40mail-archive.com
