Most people just install whatever it is that they are offered to download. For me, the most compelling reason to provide the new builds is the 15% performance benefit.
If there are no technical and corporate difficulties, such as firewalls and security, I am sure that CCP can provide a VisualStudio2005 buildbot for our needs. Wasn't there some issue that each buildbot can only provide a single build? Here is a place where cross-compilation comes into its own again.
