In case anyone is interested, I have git repositories for both the

Neil, we should try to host them on code.python.org.

If we're setting up a variety of DVCS systems there, I'd be willing to
set up Mercurial repos (I have my own local one, just trunk at the
moment but py3k would be easy enough to add). I'd need access in order
to set up any sort of sync process, though.

We need to get the python.org admins involved in the process at this point. I'm pretty sure that Thomas runs the Bazaar sync operations on one of his machines and pushes to code.python.org. I don't know if that's an option for you and/or whether we should bring this in- house. I do remember that at the time, there were issues with bzr-svn requiring svn 1.5, which hadn't been released yet. Now that that's out, and there is a more stable generic fast-import process, perhaps bringing the sync operations in will be easier. Unfortunately I will have no cycles for this in the next several weeks.

When we put up the experimental bzr repos, we generalized the scripts we use to set up access control based on ssh. It would be a good thing if we can use the same arrangement to control access to git and hg.
