I've converted it back to 2.x for the time being. Eventually, I think
some 3.x bindings should be released.

For the record: I was my intention that the build-installer.py script works with /usr/bin/python on OSX 10.4 or later. That makes it possible to create a usable installer without first having to build a bootstrap version of python.
